Adolescents who desire the sacrament of confirmation with prior faith formation may seek the sacrament of confirmation during their high school years. Preparing for and receiving the sacrament of confirmation is an outward sign of the adolescent and the family to grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus Christ and involvement in the Catholic community at St. John the Evangelist. If a student or family does not have a desire to become invested in their faith and community, it is suggested that the student wait until later adolescence or adulthood to receive this sacrament.
