The Sacrament of Baptism is celebrated on specific Sundays throughout the year - both as a separate rite and within the communal celebration of the Eucharist. Attendance at a Baptism Preparation Session is required of parents. Godparents must be practicing members of the Roman Catholic Church and are asked to obtain a certificate from their parish certifying their eligibility to serve as godparents. Provided there is one Catholic godparent, a baptized Christian of another denomination can serve as a Christian Witness.
