SACRAMENTS: CONFIRMATION

9th thru 12th graders who have completed a previous year of Faith Formation are eligible to prepare for Confirmation this year. The Sacrament will be celebrated in May of 2009. The material used for Confirmation is Oneight. Oneight calls us to reflect on Acts 1:8 and asks the question: What does it mean to witness our Catholic faith?


PROGRAM COMPONENTS: 

1) Confirmation candidates will attend one Orientation Meeting (with a parent/guardian), either August 24th or September 14th at 6:00 pm in the hall of the Parish Community Center. 

2) Attend High School Faith Formation Program the first 3 Sunday Evenings of the month, running October through May. A Separate Registration Form is required for this. See the Youth Ministry page for more details.

3) Attend Sacrament Preparation Program the fourth Sunday evening of the month starting September 28th. 

4) Attend one Retreat Weekend, either January 2-4 or January 16-18, 2009. 

5) Attend one Interview with a pastoral staff member in the spring with a parent/guardian.

6) Keep an ongoing journal of the Confirmation experience and required community service.
